NLCC Program

This junior cadet program introduces its members to naval life through instruction in basic seamanship and leadership.

NLCC members are able to participate in monthly drill sessions and other unit events.  During school holiday breaks, these cadets can attend a one-week NLCC orientation class as well as specialty annual training courses.

The purpose of the NLCC program is to introduce the cadets to the fundamentals of seamanship and leadership. The training program is less arduous than NSCC’s, but still includes a wide variety of away-from-home, one-week training opportunities designed to give cadets exposure to Navy life.

AGES 10-13 (5th-8th Grades; must be in 5th Grade)

NSCC Program

The senior cadet program exposes its cadets to the rigors of a military training program.

Cadets are required to attend a mandatory two-week recruit training. After this requirement is met, cadets are eligible to participate in a variety of nationwide advanced training courses. These courses serve to expose cadets to Navy rating specialties and advanced leadership skills.

Cadets will also be required to further their knowledge of naval history, customs and courtesies. Those cadets who show a developed understanding of Naval heritage will be given the opportunity to be assigned to the Veterans Pride Color Guard and participate in a variety of community, Navy and other service events.

AGES 13 to the completion of High School (9th-12th Grades; may join March 1 or later during the cadet’s 8th Grade year).
